Measuring the impact of Volunteering

* This course is free of charge for GSVB registered volunteers.

Impacts are the changes people experience as a result of taking part in or receiving something.

Volunteers themselves, beneficiaries, staff working alongside volunteers and the wider community might all experience changes as a result of volunteering.

Improvements in confidence and self-esteem, levels of understanding or skills, employability are all examples of changes those groups might experience as a result of volunteering.

Measuring how much change has happened tells us what the impact of volunteering has been.
